v1.4 Update - Typos, Monster Stat, Templates, and Actual Play

Hey everyone, I've got another update for you, which includes the following fixes:

  • The bandit on page 55 had a cost of 1 step on their ability, which didn't make sense considering similar abilities in the book and their d6 strength die. The cost has been reduced to 0 steps.
  • The bullet and number styling wasn't always consistent in terms of the symbol used and the spacing. This has been fixed and is now the same style throughout.

Template File

I've added a new Affinity Template Package that allows you to get started quickly when making your own game "Burned in Stones" or if you're making something "Compatible with Tales of the Burned Stones".

Feel free to use it as a framework or for inspiration when making your own third-party content.

I have also created a logo for "Compatible with Tales of the Burned Stones" content, which you can download in high resolution at https://talesoftheburnedstones.farirpgs.com/#license.

A new AP series by Errant Adventures

I'm so happy to announce that Steve Morrison from Errant Adventures will be doing a short solo play series featuring Tales of the Burned Stones. Their Stoneburner series was absolutely incredible, and I can't wait to see the direction in which they take the story and the setting of this world.

Idk about v1.1-v1.3, but v1.4 no longer has the super handy, clickable table of contents of the original v1.0

oh no I’m sorry, I’ll take a look and upload a new version early next week that fixes the issue. Thanks for telling me about it!

I've just tested the files in Chrome and in Adobe Acrobat and the tables are working fine on my end. Which application are you using?

Hey. Sorry. I missed this reply. I'm using Preview on Mac, but it must have been an error on my end bc now the tables are working fine on v1.4 and on the new v1.6.  Again, sorry (See username for details)
